API & Embed Terms

These terms apply to the embeddable chat widget, the embed scripts and the public chat and contact endpoints that power them. They form part of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.

• You may embed and call a chatbot only if you own it or its owner has authorised you.
• Use the supplied widget or embed script. Calling the endpoints directly is allowed only for your own bot and within the limits below.
• You may restrict your bot to the websites you list in its settings. We will refuse requests from other sites.

• Scraping or bulk-extracting answers from any bot, including your own, to build a dataset or model.
• Load testing, flooding or automated querying beyond normal visitor traffic without written permission.
• Reselling, reframing or white-labelling access to the endpoints.
• Getting around rate limits, website restrictions, consent requirements or other technical controls.
• Using the service to build or benchmark a competing product for third parties.
• Collecting card numbers, government ID numbers, passwords or health information through a bot.

We limit how many requests a visitor, a session and a bot can make in a short period. Requests over the limit receive a "too many requests" reply. We may change limits to protect the service, and we may suspend access that abuses them.

You must tell your visitors, in your own privacy notice, that you use Impact AI Inc to answer questions and, where you collect contact details, obtain any consent the law requires. You can switch on a consent tick-box and your own disclosure text in each bot's settings.

We may suspend endpoint access that breaks these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States. Questions: legal@impactaiinc.com.
